Bigs-n-Littles
Bigs-n-Littles is a program designed for new members to interact and get to know a returning member. As a Little, a new member is assigned to a returning member, a Big, so that the new member can have someone to call and ask questions regarding the organization. The Big also helps the Little get to know the organization and other members and allows the Little to feel more welcomed in HBSA. There are several Bigs-n-Littles events held throughout the semester. To become a Little, or a Big, contact the Membership Director for an application.
Alumni Mentorship Program
As a member of HBSA, one can join the Alumni Mentorship Program. The Alumni Mentorship Program is a program that pairs a current member with an alumnus of HBSA. Obtaining an alumnus as a mentor allows the member to gain insight on the corporate environment, as most alumni work in prestigious corporations, are leaders and mangers in their respective organization, or have ventured off to establish their own company. Alumni were once in our shoes and have unlimited wealth of knowledge in which they are happy to share with you, the member. Several events are held throughout the semester with alumni including the Alumni Potluck Thanksgiving Dinner in the fall and the Alumni Softball Picnic in the spring. To obtain a Mentor, contact the Alumni Relations Director for an application.
Future Leaders Development Program
The Future Leaders Development Program was designed to serve as a mentorship program for participating high school students. Each participating high school student will be paired with a current HBSA member in order to help with their transiton into college. These pairings between Mentors and Mentees will become symbiotic relationships which will develop through the assistance of both the college admissions and the financial aid application processes. Through the completion of this program, HBSA hopes to establish and promote the progression of young leaders in the community while laying a foundation for future leaders.
